This article is related to progeny in Vedic Astrology. To understand the strength of the child bearing factors in both male and female horoscope, there is a method defined in Phaladeepika. It is a simple method and can be followed by anyone.
The purpose of the article is to explain the method in brief and then present some of the data that I have collected over a period of time in order to put the method to test. I am not providing the birth details due to privacy concerns and it is almost impossible for anyone to construct the date of birth, time of birth and place of birth data back from the calculations here. Hence the privacy of my clients is well preserved.
Some of the data is very very old, hence I am not sure of the current situation and if any of these clients indeed became parents through medical help or even adoption.
The edition of Phaladeepika that I have is a Hindi version edited/translated by Dr. Suresh Chandra Mishra and published by Ranjan Publications. There is a version available in English through Motilal Banarasidas too – https://books.google.co.in/books?id=bxGQS_pDgvUC. I have looked at both of them and at least for this chapter on Santaanbhaavaadhyaaya (संतानभावाध्यायः), the shlokas are the same. Hence, you can pick up any of the editions and will be looking at the same base material.
This post is a compendium of remedies advised for manglik dosha elsewhere in the website. There are tons of questions around this hence the need to consolidate it in one place and add my thoughts and analysis around it.
Recap: Manglik Dosha is caused due to position of Mars (mangal) in certain houses in the horoscope that is said to have an impact on married life and family before and after the marriage. This dosha needs to be negated with matching the horoscope with someone of similar nature in a hope that two negatives come together and make it a positive life. I have explained it in another post on dosha samyam here – Horoscope Incompatibility & Remedies that we need to necessarily look at all the factors in the horoscope chart including overlapping Vimshottari Dasha in order to arrive at the right horoscope compatibility. Still, I get questions about the way forward if there is such a dosha in the chart, so this post is to answer these questions and to quench the curiosity.
Lal Kitab and many other astrological texts talk about donation of few things for planets that are either malefic, weak or afflicted in a janma kundali. For example, for malefic Sun in a horoscope, wheat, gold needs to be donated. Mung, green fruits are donated for Mercury. Similarly, if moon is afflicted in a kundali, one should donate silver and rice. However, you might be wondering how exactly to donate these things. Please follow these steps:
As I said, this is a matter of belief and must be followed as such. You must have faith in these remedial measures in order for them to work in your horoscope.
