First of all, this post is long overdue. I have been on personal leave practically for the entire month 🙂 First, there was this looong Dussehra vacation and then parents visited us for Diwali. Anyway, things are back to normal now. I will not take long for the next post – I got hold of a compedium of planetary remedies. I am in the process of presenting the shlokas mentioned in there in Devnagri script and will soon publish it on my blog.
I was going through a website
http://www.vedamu.org/Vedas/Jyotisa/Vedanga.asp and found that it has a very good collection of really old books on Astrology. Someone has done a wonderful job of scanning each and every page of books and posted them on this website. Most important for me, all these books are in Hindi… There are a few books in Telugu as well.
For people who wish to learn Astrology, I suggest them to go through two e-books –
-
Bhrugu Samhita, and
-
Jyotish Ratnakar
I have not gone through these books fully yet, as both of them are over 800 pages. But a cursory glance told me that there is a lot of promise.
For the people in Bangalore, there is going to be a book festival at Palace Grounds in Mekhri Circle from Nov 11th to 20th. Last year, there were some good stalls which had Astrology books. I am looking forward to visiting the book fair this year.
