By Kshitij Sharma, September 25, 2014

Solar-EclipseOn 23rd of October, a partial solar eclipse would occur that would visible throughout North America and eastern parts of Russia. This eclipse will not be visible in India at all and hence there is no effect on persons residing in India. This is the day when we will be celebrating Dipawali – Lakshmi Pooja.

As an astronomical phenomenon, a solar eclipse occurs when the Moon’s shadow is cast on Earth. Moon’s umbra cause total solar eclipse. If only the penumbra touches it, it would be a partial solar eclipse.Using astrological parlance, solar eclipse occurs when Sun and Moon are in conjunction (1st house) and are conjunct with Rahu/Ketu.

Since this eclipse is not visible in India, I will not go into details for the same. This eclipse is occurring in Chitra nakshatra and Tula rashi. Hence the persons of this nakshatra/rashi combination need to be careful during this eclipse. During the eclipse, the other two planets conjunct with Sun/Moon are Saturn and Venus. There is This indicates problems with ministers and bureaucracy in the government and price of metals in commodities market would shoot up.

This is a solar eclipse immediately after the lunar eclipse on 8th October, which is also visible in Americas. This is not a good indication for Americas as the government of the day will continue to have problems. The hold of the government and head of the government on the countries in North America will be loosened.
