Yogi Adityanath’s oath taking ceremony happened at 14.18 hours. The time was ascertained based on TV grab images – Zee News in particular.
During this hour, nakshtra was Jyeshtha, which is although being ruled by Mercury, is a teekshna nakshatra. It is auspicious for laying foundation of the house, tantrik activities, legal recourse and is usually not chosen for raj-tilak. The karana is Vishti karana – which is again a very avoidable karana. This shows that the panchanga was ashuddha during the oath taking ceremony.
The lagna is Karka (Cancer) with the lord Moon in 5th house in Vrishchika rashi. At about 20degrees in Scorpio, it is out of its worst debilitation. Moreover, it is aspected from 10th house by lord of Scorpio Mars. Mars and Moon are very closely associated in this chart. Mars is debilitated in 10th house in D9, where Moon aspects it from 4th house. Therefore while Mars provides for neechabhanga of Moon in D1, Moon provides for neechabhanga of Mars in D9.
The interpretation is as follows:
1. Scorpio rashi indicates shyness, lack of communication and keeping secrets. Moon in Scorpio indicates inferiority complex. Neechabhanga of such a Moon supported by Mars in its moolatrikona indicates withering away of inferiority complex and being compensated by aggression.
2. There is Ruchaka Yoga in the chart. Mars again aspects the lagna from 10th house and makes the chart extremely aggressive. In mundane astrology, a strong 10th house and relation with 1st house indicates autocracy. This will be an autocratic govt through and through. Mars also indicates real estate and infrastructure development, energy and engineering. These areas will definitely see a major focus.
3. Rahu affects 10th house from 2nd house. Both being part of artha-trikone indicates foreign sources of income. Good grants from center are indicated. UP can attract FDI.
4. Saturn in Sagittarius in 6th house indicates service. It also indicates religious dogmatism to a certain extent. Partnership with opposition will be close to nil. Opposition will be ruthlessly tackled.
The lord of 11th house is in exaltation (but retrograde, hence exaltation may be canceled) in 9th, joined by Sun, which is 2nd lord indicating resources. This should ideally indicate dhana yoga, but association of malefic Mercury (3rd and 12th lord) is causing nirdhana yoga too. Weakness of Mercury by virtue of being deblitated is supported by direct drishti from Jupiter. Although it does see straightforward, in reality it will not be easy for UP govt to get money and resources it needs to take the development forward.
